Precision Pipe Cleaning in Hitchin

December 19th, 2025
Hitchin

Hydroblast recently completed a specialist pipe cleaning project, delivering outstanding results through the use of advanced high-pressure water jetting technology. Finished on 8th December, the works demonstrate the effectiveness of precision cleaning methods when tackling challenging internal pipe conditions in industrial environments.

At the core of the operation was a 1400 bar Hammelmann pump, paired with a Derc 2D SPC rotation head. This combination allowed Hydroblast to achieve a highly controlled and consistent cleaning process, ensuring that internal pipe surfaces were thoroughly cleared of deposits, blockages and build-up. The rotating head technology is particularly effective in pipe cleaning applications, as it delivers full 360-degree coverage, reaching areas that traditional methods may struggle to access.

Industrial pipe systems are often exposed to a wide range of materials, from scale and sediment to process residues that can restrict flow and impact performance. Left untreated, these build-ups can reduce efficiency, increase pressure within the system and lead to costly downtime. Hydroblast’s approach focuses on removing these obstructions quickly and effectively, restoring optimal flow and extending the lifespan of pipework.

One of the key advantages of using high-pressure water jetting for pipe cleaning is its ability to deliver powerful results without causing damage to the pipe itself. Unlike mechanical cleaning methods, which can be abrasive and inconsistent, water jetting provides a non-destructive solution that protects the integrity of the infrastructure. This is especially important in environments where pipe systems are critical to ongoing operations and must remain structurally sound.

Safety and control were central to the delivery of this project. Hydroblast’s experienced operatives utilised specialist equipment to ensure that all works were carried out in line with strict industry standards. The use of a controlled rotation head not only enhances cleaning performance but also reduces risk by maintaining stability and accuracy throughout the process.

As with all Hydroblast projects, environmental considerations were also taken into account. Water jetting reduces the need for chemicals and minimises secondary waste, providing a cleaner and more sustainable solution for industrial maintenance. This aligns with Hydroblast’s commitment to delivering services that are both effective and environmentally responsible.

This pipe cleaning project is another example of Hydroblast’s ability to deliver high-quality results across a range of industrial applications. By combining powerful equipment with technical expertise, the team continues to support clients in maintaining safe, efficient and fully operational systems.

For businesses looking to improve performance, prevent blockages or carry out routine maintenance, Hydroblast provides a reliable and proven pipe cleaning solution that delivers results where it matters most.
